France international Dimitri Payet may have caused the biggest stir of the January transfer window with his ugly will-he won't-he departure from West Ham, but the playmaker always had Marseille in his heart claims one team-mate.
Payet dug in his heels to force the hand of the Hammers and get a return to his native France and former club Marseille, only one year after signing a bumper new deal with the East London club.
But fellow Les Blues international and Barcelona star Lucas Digne believes Payet's move back to Marseille was merely a formality, claiming the player held a deep love for the Ligue 1 club.
