West Brom’s Irish star McClean risks outrage by praising ‘hero and good friend’ Martin McGuinness after former IRA leader’s death

West Brom winger James McClean has paid tribute to Martin McGuinness following the controversial politician's death at the age of 66, describing him as 'a hero of mine'.

McGuinness passed away just two months after resigning from his position as Northern Ireland's deputy first minister.

And McClean took to Instagram to pay tribute to McGuinness's and eulogize what the politician meant to him.
