Stoke City had to do very little to run out deserved 1-0 winners at Watford on Sunday. There was little attacking prowess on show from either side and the fact the game was decided by a scrappy own goal was befitting of the spectacle.
Positives
The continued excellent form of Sebastian Prodl in the heart of defence will be a crumb of comfort for Watford supporters, but this really was a lacklustre display and the only other positive is that the referee chose to end the contest 40 seconds early.
Negatives
Watford now lead the way with the number of bookings for dissent and this should be a cause for acute embarrassment.
