With the salary cap rising very soon, NBA players that aren’t household names got PAID this off-season. I mean, Al-Farouq Aminu got $30 million. Enough said.

While there have been plenty of players that benefited from the future salary cap rise this summer, there have also been a couple that surprisingly haven’t. Teams that miss out on their top free agent targets have backup plans.

When the New York Knicks failed to sign DeAndre Jordan, they acquired Robin Lopez. After the Los Angeles Lakers missed on virtually everyone, they acquired Roy Hibbert from the Indiana Pacers and a number of other role players from free agency.
