Luani, a 5-foot-11, 202-pound safety, made 148 total tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss, eight interceptions and three forced fumbles in two seasons on the field for the Cougars. At one time a soccer star in his native American Samoa, he arrived in Pullman in before the 2015 season as a junior college transfer.
