Swimming Trails No.3 Cal After First Day of Meet

PULLMAN, Wash. – Sixteenth-ranked Washington State swimming raced against No. 3 California, Friday at Gibb Pool. In the first eleven events of a two-day meet, the Golden Bears enter tomorrow’s 10 a.m. action leading 139-66.

Senior Presley Wetterstrom picked up Washington State’s win in the 100 breaststroke. Wetterstrom finished with a time of 1:04.62, followed closely by classmate Frederikke Hall at 1:04.66.

“I was proud of our breaststrokers, those are two seniors that worked hard, they started when the program was over 200 and now we’re in the top-25 in the country,” head coach Tom Jager said.
