Cougars Tally Seven Wins, a Dozen PRs at WSU Open

PULLMAN, Wash. -- , a freshman on the Washington State track and field team, made his Pullman collegiate debut a memorable one, breaking Jeshua Anderson's school freshman indoor record Saturday at the 15th Annual WSU Open Indoor meet at the WSU Indoor Facility.

Brixey, from Boise, Idaho, won the men's 60m hurdles in a time of 8.00 seconds, edging Anderson's frosh school record time of 8.01, run at 2008 Vandal Indoor in Moscow. Brixey led the cadre of Cougs in the final as took third place (8.19), was fourth (8.21), sixth (8.32) and eighth (8.57).

The Cougars racked up seven event wins and 12 personal-bests at the open meet.
