WSU's Connor Halliday, UW's Andrew Hudson agree to UDFA deals

After a prolific career at Washington State, Connor Halliday will get a shot to bring the air raid to the NFL.

Halliday, the WSU record holder in career passing yards and touchdowns, signed as an undrafted free agent with Washington on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 201-pounder is on his way back from a broken leg that ended his senior season with the Cougars last November, and he will have his work cut out for him as he joins a crowded crop of quarterbacks that includes Kirk Cousins, Robert Griffin III and Colt McCoy. He will also be following in the footsteps of Mark Rypien, another WSU alum out of Spokane who led Washington to a Super Bowl victory in 1991.
