The roster has been 90 players strong for some time now, but with training camp on the horizon, that number is due to change, and fast. The evaluation process continues through July and August, and come September, we’ll finally have a refined 53-man roster.
When it comes to who’s locked and who’s not, there tends to be a gray area with the Redskins. Robert Kelley was viewed as a bubble player before the start of the 2016 season, but by Week 8, he was starting. And David Bruton, who many viewed as a roster lock, and even a mid-level starter, was waived before the bye week.
