In 2016, the Washington Redskins fell just short of expectations as they attempted to make the playoffs two seasons in a row. Thanks to a poor defense and some late season struggles from their offense, the team was unable to convert a middle of the season run into a postseason berth. Still, the Redskins have a talented roster that should end up being a contender in 2017.
The Redskins need to make some upgrades at a lot of positions in order to field a strong unit. Mostly, they need to add some players on the defensive side, but they also have some key offensive players that they need to consider retaining.
