Ryan Kerrigan undergoes surgery on elbow, faces two-month recovery

Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan played the last three games of the season with an injured left elbow, which caused him to pull out of the Pro Bowl earlier this week. It also needed surgery to be fixed.

Kerrigan said via text message that he underwent surgery earlier in the week to, as he said, “clean up” some lingering issues with the elbow. He sprained his left elbow in a Dec. 19 loss to Carolina and needed to wear a brace on his left arm for the final three games. The expected recovery time is six to eight weeks, which would have him back in time for offseason workouts that begin in April.
