Redskins Waive Safety Kyshoen Jarrett

The Washington Redskins on Monday announced that safety Kyshoen Jarrett was waived with a failed physical designation.

Jarrett, a 2015 sixth-round pick for the Redskins, suffered a shoulder injury that resulted in a nerve damage issue in Washington’s regular season finale victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Jan. 3 after a collision with Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden.

In 16 regular season games during his rookie season, Jarrett finished sixth on the Redskins in tackles with 63 while also recording two passes defensed and a fumble forced on 602 defensive snaps.

Jarrett would also record six starts during the year with his first career appearance in the starting lineup coming in the Redskins’ 23-20 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 at FedExField.
