Redskins rookies providing an early impact missing in recent years

The Redskins have often had to wait to get considerable contribution from their draft classes. There are exceptions. The 2015 class saw them reel in five key players in three days: Brandon Scherff, Preston Smith, Matt Jones, Jamison Crowder, and Kyshoen Jarrett.

In hindsight, a few of those guys haven’t had the most favorable two year careers. But they did give the Redskins instant dividends when they were selected. And that alone is something to value.

The Redskins don’t have inept classes every year. 2012’s class was a historic success, with Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris combining to form one of the best rookie duos of their time.
