Redskins offense equipped to withstand Sean McVay's departure

The Washington Redskins’ offense doesn’t have to take a hit because they lost their offensive coordinator. Sean McVay certainly helped shape the offense and his detailed approach mattered to those involved.

But the Redskins’ coaching staff remains a solid one, especially when it comes to those helping craft the game plan. From the time McVay was named head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, the expectation has been that coach Jay Gruden would return to calling plays, something he did his first season in Washington. The Redskins’ offense was more inconsistent; they also had quarterback issues all season – whether because of injuries or poor play.
