Redskins' defense falters again in loss to Cardinals

GLENDALE, Az., -- The offseason issue shouldn’t be how much the Washington Redskins will spend on quarterback Kirk Cousins. It should be how much will they invest in their defense? If they don’t make the playoffs – and they have now made it difficult on themselves – it’ll be this side of the ball that kept them out.

This is a team sport and the offense needed to do a better job, too, in the Redskins’ 31-23 loss to Arizona Sunday. A sack/fumble was returned to the Redskins’ 10-yard line and Arizona then scored a touchdown. The offense failed to score a touchdown on a first-and-goal from the 1.
