Jay Gruden expects to meet with McCloughan, Allen and Snyder about quarterback position

BALTIMORE – Redskins Coach Jay Gruden insists that he and team officials have yet to decide which direction to go regarding their starting quarterback position. Robert Griffin III’s ongoing neurological tests, and a review of the film from Saturday night’s victory over Baltimore will factor into the decision-making process. Then, Gruden said he expects to meet with General Manager Scot McCloughan, team president Bruce Allen and owner Daniel Snyder to come to an agreement regarding the starter for the Sept. 13 regular season opener against Miami.

ESPN reported on Saturday that the Redskins already had made plans to start Cousins in Week 1, although multiple people within the organization denied those claims.
