The quarterback, who has served as their starter for the past two seasons, is a free agent for the second straight offseason. Washington is still balking at the idea of giving him a long-term contract, and they may be leaning towards using the franchise tag on him. Because of that, Cousins may not be long for the Redskins and the team may consider trading him if they get an offer they cannot refuse.
