It’s extremely difficult to make it to the Super Bowl, let alone win year after year, so when teams, like the Washington Redskins, can go on a run of success over a certain number of years, those are times those organizations cherish forever.
Keeping in the spirit of championship football, Fox Sports’ Cameron DaSilva came up with a list of the nine most successful dynasties in NFL history, and coming in at No. 9 are the Redskins.
The postseason run Washington had from 1982-1991 is simply jaw dropping, and DaSilva breaks it down quite succinctly:
Playoff appearances: 7
Super Bowl appearances: 4
Super Bowl wins: 3
“The Redskins of the ‘80s and early ‘90s get overlooked fairly often because they didn’t win a whole bunch of titles with the same quarterback,” DaSilva said.
