UPDATED: According to reports this afternoon, the Washington Nationals avoided arbitration with all four of their arbitration-eligible players before today’s deadline to submit figures for 2017 salaries.
The Nationals have reportedly signed right-hander Tanner Roark, right fielder Bryce Harper, third baseman Anthony Rendon and catcher Derek Norris to contracts for the upcoming season.
Roark, 30, earned a career-high 16 wins in 2016, going (16-10), with a 2.83 ERA, a 3.79 FIP, 73 walks (3.13 BB/9) and 172 Ks (7.37 K/9) in 34 games and 210 innings.
