Harper among Nats to reportedly avoid arbitration

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals settled with three of their four arbitration-eligible players before Friday's 1 p.m. ET deadline for teams to exchange salary figures.

Washington avoided arbitration with Bryce Harper, right-hander Tanner Roark and catcher Derek Norris, according to multiple reports. The club has not confirmed. Harper gets the most significant raise, as he is reportedly set to make $13.625 million in 2017, while Roark will earn $4.3 million and Norris signed for $4.2 million.

The status of third baseman Anthony Rendon -- who, like Harper, is represented by agent Scott Boras -- is still uncertain.
