Washington Nationals team up with Inova Blood Donor Services for the first of two summer blood drives

The Washington Nationals, in partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services, will host their annual blood drive on Saturday, June 25 in the Nationals Park Conference Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In exchange for their generous donation, those who donate blood will receive two tickets to a future Nationals game and a limited edition Adam LaRoche t-shirt, as well as opportunities to win autographed memorabilia and take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Nationals Park.

Inova Blood Donor Services supplies lifesaving blood and blood products to 15 different hospitals in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Blood donations make a difference in the lives of cancer patients, trauma patients, newborns suffering from complications, as well as those undergoing surgery or receiving an organ transplant. With each donation, up to three lives may be saved. More than 250 units of blood are required daily to meet the needs of local patients.

Appointments to donate blood are required.Interested donors should call 1-866-BLOODSAVES (256-6372) or visit inova.org/donateblood, click 'schedule an appointment', then 'donate blood' and enter sponsor code 7665.

Blood donors may park for FREE in Nationals Park's Lot B, located at the corners of South Capitol Street and N Street, SE. Donors should enter the ballpark through the Third Base Gate on South Capitol Street.

The Nationals and Inova Blood Donor Services will host a second blood drive at the ballpark on Saturday, August 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
