Washington Nationals Host Youth Baseball Equipment Drive This Sunday

WHAT: The Washington Nationals will once again partner with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund to collect new and gently-used baseball and softball equipment in conjunction with the team’s Youth Baseball and Softball Day festivities on Sunday, May 15.

 

Fans are encouraged to donate baseballs, softballs, bats, batting gloves, catcher’s equipment, youth batting helmets, bases, baseball pants and other useful equipment outside of the Center Field Gates from 11:00 a.m. until the end of the fourth inning of the Nationals-Marlins game.

The equipment, along with a $5,000 grant from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund, will benefit the Banneker City Little League, a Nationals Dream Foundation grant recipient.  The league is the first to represent DC’s Ward 1 in more than 10 years.

 

WHEN: Sunday, May 15

CF Gate Opens – 11:00 a.m.

First Pitch – 1:35 p.m.
