Rendon to travel to Florida for sim games

WASHINGTON -- When the Nationals travel to Chicago on Sunday night, third baseman Anthony Rendon will head to Viera, Fla., for a few days and participate in simulated games, according to manager Matt Williams.

After that, the hope is that Rendon could go on a rehab assignment and then join the Nationals. Rendon has yet to play a Major League game this season because of a left knee sprain and left oblique strain.

On Saturday, Rendon had a good workout at Nationals Park. He took grounders at second base and took batting practice with the team for the first time.
