For the third time in their respective careers, Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby will face each other in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins get their long anticipated second round series underway on Thursday. It is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Verizon Center.
The Capitals have only beaten the Penguins in one series in nine attempts. Pittsburgh has come out on top the other eight times. However, history means very little in the present. At one point, the Chicago Blackhawks were known as chokers. They, however, rewrote that script by winning the 2009-10 Stanley Cup.
