Washington Capitals: Capitals Lose Second Straight Game

What a day it would have been. If only the Washington Capitals could have pulled away with a victory on Hockey Day in America. I mean, this day was basically made for a Capitals win!

Unfortunately, that’s not exactly how it panned out. In their second away, back-to-back, matinee game off the bye-week (okay I might be making up a lot of excuses) the Washington Capitals fell short once again.

The sole Capitals goal was scored by Russian captain, Alexander Ovechkin with assists coming from Kuznetsov and Eller.

The Capitals came out of the gates slow once again, yet their goaltending saved their backs for the second game in a row.
