Philipp Grubauer or Braden Holtby? Caps haven't decided for Saturday.

Philipp Grubauer has adjusted to his new routine, staying on the ice longer in practice, no longer the first goaltender off it on most afternoons. Being a backup was unfamiliar territory for the 24-year-old, and though he’s playing less, he’s found himself improving, working with goaltending coach Mitch Korn on a regular basis and facing better competition when he does get to play.

“Guys shoot more accurately,” Grubauer said. “You’ve got to fight for every puck up here. Maybe in leagues below, you get away with just standing there and guys hitting you in the shoulder pads.
