Capitals Players Present $23,405 So Kids Can Donation to Horton's Kids

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals players Karl Alzner, Nicklas Backstrom and Braden Holtby along with Elliot Segal of the Elliot in the Morning Show recently presented a $23,405 check to Horton’s Kids, a community-based social change organization serving some of Washington’s most at-risk youth.

The funds were raised during the 2015-16 season through So Kids Can and will help support Horton’s Kids academic, youth development and health and basic needs services for children in grades K – 12. Each player and Segal donated $50 per Capitals win during the regular season and $100 per Capitals win during the playoffs.
