Capitals, Johansson Avoid Arbitration, Agree to Three-Year Deal

According to Chris Johnston of Sportsnet (since confirmed by the team), the Capitals and Marcus Johansson have agreed to a three-year deal worth just over $4.583 million per year.

Marcus Johansson and the #caps settled before arbitration, per sources. He gets a three-year, $13.75M deal -- $4.583M AAV.

It's an $830,000 raise from his arbitrated salary of $3.75 million a year ago. Johansson and the team were set for an arbitration hearing in Toronto today before the two settled on a deal.
