BLACKSBURG, Va. – The 25th-ranked Virginia Tech women’s basketball team defeated Gardner-Webb 76-42 on Monday night extending its season opening win streak to eight games.
Vanessa Panousis made a 3-pointer, en route to 14 total points, on the first possession of the game and the Hokies never looked back, leading the entire way.
“That’s a good win for us,” said coach Kenny Brooks. “We were working on certain things and the motto of the day was ‘get better’. We think that we can have a really good year if we continue to get better.
