The Virginia Tech Hokies are expected to be one of the top teams in the ACC heading into Buzz Williams’ fourth year at the helm this fall, but will now have some work to do with their wing depth.
According to David Teel of The Daily Press, rising redshirt-senior Ty Outlaw has torn his right ACL in a game of pickup basketball. Teel’s report states that surgery for the injury took place on July 11th, and Outlaw has already begun rehab. He will be out for the 2017-18 season.
This is not the first time that Outlaw has endured health issues since arriving at Virginia Tech.
