Softball: The Virginia Tech season ended with their heartbreaking defeat to No. 20 Notre Dame, 4-5, during the quarterfinal round of the ACC Championship. The Hokies were not named to the NCAA Championship tournament. Senior Pitcher, Maggie Tyler, and freshmen catcher, Lauren Duff, were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association’s Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team. Megan Evans and Angela Tincher were named to the second team. It was a hard fought season where they women of VT fought back to finish the season with a winning record of 29-28. We look forward to a great season next year!
