The Virginia Tech Hokies nabbed another early verbal commitment for the Class of 2018 on Wednesday night, as recently rated 3-star defensive back Nasir Peoples committed to Virginia Tech.
Peoples, who was initially an unranked safety out of Warminister, Pennsylvania, was given a 3-star rating by 247Sports on Thursday afternoon. In addition to Virginia Tech, the 6’0″, 185 lbs. Peoples held offers from Temple, Rutgers, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh.
He is the 24th-ranked player in the state of Pennsylvania, and is the 70th-ranked player nationally at the safety position. He will likely project to safety at the collegiate level, but is surely capable of playing cornerback as well.
