Sophomore climbs into top-10 nationally
RADFORD, Va. - Eva Vivod posted a win in the women’s javelin throw and climbed into the top ten nationally to lead the Hokies on the first day of the Highlander Invite.
Competing in her first meet this season, Vivod won the women’s javelin throw with an impressive mark of 173’8” (52.94m). Vivod’s throw currently ranks ninth in the nation. Vivod joins Irena Sediva and Sabine Kopplin in the top 15 nationally. Sediva ranks first in the nation while Kopplin moves down to 12th prior to marks set this weekend.
