Virginia falls to North Carolina, 35-14

Virginia’s offense was the story in a negative way on Saturday against North Carolina, as they went three-and-out five times and managed 262 yards over the course of a 35-14 loss to the Tar Heels.

North Carolina led 14-7 at halftime after a 40-yard touchdown pass from Mitch Trubisky to Bug Howard with less than three minutes left in the second quarter. The Hoos (2-5) tied things with a swinging gate that went for a touchdown on fourth down, via a touchdown pass to Evan Butts from senior backup quarterback Matt Johns.

A third-quarter fumble recovery from Micah Kiser was for naught, as the Cavaliers went 16 yards in five plays and were forced to punt.
