Bronco Mendenhall's first class at Virginia was diverse, if nothing else. The first-year Virginia coach had to go to work on short notice and hauled in a 24-man class that consists entirely of three-star prospects, with 10 different states being represented in the class.

The Cavaliers' class ranks 60th nationally, which is 12th in the ACC, ahead of only Syracuse and Boston College. But they addressed several needs, particularly at wide receiver and on the defensive line. Virginia signed five wide receivers and four defensive linemen, in addition to adding two quarterbacks.

It was tough work in a short amount of time as Mendenhall and the new staff gets settled in Charlottesville, but they are optimistic that several pieces from this big class can make an impact from Day 1.
