CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Virginia coach Tony Bennett said junior Marial Shayok and sophomore Jarred Reuter are transferring.
Bennett made the announcement on Wednesday. He thanked both players for their work at Virginia and wished them well.
Shayok, a 6-foot-5 guard from Ontario, Canada, made 23 starts for the Cavaliers. He scored a career-best 23 points in a victory against UNC Wilmington in the first round of the NCAA tournament and finished second on the team with an 8.9-point scoring average. He averaged 20 minutes per game.
Reuter, a 6-7 forward from Marion, Massachusetts, averaged 3.
