The Vanderbilt offense had a fair amount of success in its spring showcase Saturday.

The Commodores scored six touchdowns on 18 drives in the outing.

“The energy was good,” coach Derek Mason said. “I thought we really got after each other after a little soft (start). Once we got into it, I think we did a solid job of trying to play ball. Overall, today was good work.”

Quarterback Kyle Shurmur went 7 of 13 passing for 88 yards and one touchdown; wide receiver C.J. Duncan led receivers with three catches for 52 yards and one touchdown.
