Vanderbilt captain from one of school’s legendary teams passes away

Legendary Vanderbilt offensive guard Billy Grover passed away last week in Nashville the program announced via Twitter.

Grover, 80, served as the Commodores’ captain in 1958, a season that included wins over Georgia and Miami, as well as ties against Alabama, Florida and Kentucky.

The Hohenwald, Tennessee native also received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering during his time at Vandy.
