Lipscomb Academy graduate and defensive lineman Rutger Reitmaier is leaving the University of Oregon. Reitmaier committed to the Ducks just over a year ago and has reportedly never taken an official snap in his year at Oregon. Multiple reasons are being cited by articles, from discontent with the recent Oregon staff changes to wanting to be closer to home. I’ve yet to see an official statement from him though, so take those as The Ducks fans seem to be confused at this announcement, but it’s a big opportunity for Vanderbilt, who had heavily recruited the Nashville native.
