The Vanderbilt Commodores came into Stegeman Coliseum having lost three in a row, and the Commodores couldn’t overcome a slow start in Athens as the Georgia Bulldogs sent them to their fourth straight loss by a score of 76-68.
With leading scorer Matthew Fisher-Davis coming off the bench for the first time this season, Vanderbilt started the game ice cold. The Commodores trailed 16-9 at the under-12 media timeout and 19-11 at the under-8 timeout in the first half, as Georgia shut down the Commodores’ offense. Vanderbilt trailed 34-25 at the half and while they made some runs in the second half, they never really put together anything close to a rally to put the outcome in doubt.
