Major League Soccer will release the complete 2017 regular season schedule on Thursday, once again consisting of 34 matches per club. Insert happy dance GIF here.
Here’s what we know so far:
Each team will face opponents from their own conference either twice or three times, and the opponents from the other conference just once. We also know that Whitecaps FC will open their regular season campaign against Philadelphia Union on March 5 at BC Place (and that, of course, will come after Vancouver’s two-leg CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series vs. New York Red Bulls on February 22 and March 2).
