18-year old Terran Campbell opens pro account but WFC2 fall short 2-1 to Real Monarchs SLC

LANGLEY, BC - 18-year old striker Terran Campbell scored his first professional goal for Whitecaps FC 2 but Vancouver's comeback effort fell short as red-hot Real Monarchs SLC won 2-1 at McLeod Athletic Park on Sunday afternoon.

It was not the result WFC2 were hoping for on a beautiful day in Langley as SLC won their sixth straight match. Head coach Rich Fagan opted for a young starting XI, with several of his players were called up to the first team for last Tuesday's Canadian Championship semifinal versus Montreal Impact.

Real Monarchs got on the scoresheet right out of the gates.
