Vancouver Canucks: Tate Olson- The Ace In The Pack

During the NHL Draft in Florida, Tate Olson was one name you may well have missed. Selected 210th overall, the blue liner put up 24 points from 68 games with WHL side Prince George Cougars last season. Don’t be fooled by his modest points achievements because the Vancouver Canucks could well have stumbled onto future gold. Although he is 6″3, the Saskatchewan native already has presence far bigger on the ice.

Known for being a great two-way defenseman, Olson has been praised for both his skating ability and his puck handling. Although he may not have attacking prowess, the 22-year old has a great defensive mind.
