A former Vancouver defenseman has not ruled out returning to the team when free agency opens on July 1.
Christian Ehrhoff spent two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks from 2009 until 2011 after being acquired from the San Jose Sharks. He won the Babe Pratt Trophy (voted on by fans) as the team’s best defenseman both years. He helped the team reach the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals, which they ultimately lost to the Boston Bruins.
After the season however, the Canucks and Ehrhoff could not reach an agreement on a new contract.
