A loaded Thanksgiving tournament at home and a December on the road are the most notable features of Kevin Baker's first UTEP women's basketball schedule, released Wednesday.
The Thanksgiving Classic features games on back-to-back days, Nov. 24 and 25, against the Southeastern Conference's Arkansas and a Texas Southern team that made the NCAA tournament last year. New Mexico State won't play UTEP in that tournament - the Miners travel to Las Cruces to play the Aggies on Dec. 10 - but NMSU will be in the Don Haskins Center to play Texas Southern and then Arkansas as part of doubleheaders with the Miners.
