Whether UTEP's five overtime victory against UTSA was merely one of the great games in school history or whether it's the beginning of a new UTEP, with a new Miner team that charges into bowl contention, the answer will start sorting out Saturday in the Sun Bowl against Old Dominion.
What is obvious already is that there is a new attitude and more hope than there was Saturday afternoon.
"This was a great win, but we're 2-5 right now, we're very realistic about where we're at," coach Sean Kugler said at his weekly press conference to set up the Old Dominion game.
