UTEP women's basketball coach Keitha Adams interviewed for the head coaching position at Wichita State, according to the Wichita Eagle newspaper citing a pair of sources.
The Miners' all-time winningest basketball coach is from the Oxford, Kansas, about 30 miles from Wichita.
The Shockers went 15-16 and finished fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference last season when they lost head coach Jody Adams-Birch at midseason.
Adams is 284-209 in 16 seasons, including three Conference USA regular-season titles, two NCAA tournament appearances and two deep runs into the WNIT.
Adams could not be reached for comment.
