Notes: Jones moves to third all-time in rushing

Aaron Jones didn't need long to move up to third on UTEP's all-time rushing list, but shortly after doing it he was shoved into an equipment chest on the Southern Miss sideline and injured his ankle. His status is unknown.

At the time he had five carries for 99 yards. He carried 11 more times for 27 yards after that.

On the play where Jones got hurt, Dylan Bradley engaged him inbounds, then gave him a shove as they crossed the sideline. Bradley wasn't flagged, to coach Sean Kugler's consternation, but Jones' 15-yard run was negated by a holding penalty.
