Where local basketball players end up during the NBA summer league

SALT LAKE CITY — School may be out for the summer, but there is plenty of work left to do for several former college basketball standouts to make an NBA roster.

Some of them, like Utah’s Kyle Kuzma and Lone Peak High’s Frank Jackson, have a spot solidified on their current team’s roster via the NBA draft. Others, like second-year vets Joel Bolomboy from Weber State and Jakob Poeltl from Utah, are looking to get more playing time that they didn’t receive from their NBA squads during the 2016-17 season.
