It was all-star weekend for a bevy of college football stars looking to impress NFL scouts at the East-West Shrine Game in Florida and the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in California.
Former local standouts were no different. Here’s how they did.
Joe Williams ran for 51 yards on seven carries to lead the West team, but got 35 of the yards as he trucked a defender into the red zone at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He also caught two passes for 7 yards and returned a kickoff 16 yards for the West, which beat the East 10-3.
